Where can I see today’s gold rate?

What does 916 gold mean?
916 gold is 91.6% pure gold, the same as 22 karat. It is the standard for Indian jewellery because it is strong enough to wear every day. Read more
Should I buy 22K or 24K gold?
22K (916) is made for jewellery you wear. 24K (99.9% pure) is soft, so it suits gold bars and coins kept as savings. Read more
How is the price of a piece worked out?
Every quote is broken into three lines: the gold value (the day’s rate times the weight), the making charge, and GST. We show you the breakdown before you pay. Read more
Is GST charged on gold?
Jewellery is charged 9% GST on the selling price. Gold bars that meet IRAS’s investment precious metals criteria are exempt. Read more
Do you buy old gold?
Yes. We buy gold for cash, valued on its weight and purity at the buy-in rate we publish each day. Read more
Can I trade in old gold for a new piece?
Yes. Your old gold is valued at the day’s trade-in rate and set against the price of the new piece. Read more
Can you redesign old or broken jewellery?
Yes. We discuss the design, the gold involved and the making charge with you in the showroom before any work begins. Read more
How can I tell if a chain is solid, hollow or plated?
Ask us about any piece and we will tell you exactly how it is made, so you know what you are paying for. Read more
How does the affiliate programme work?
